The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Lowlands
The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Lowlands region is the smallest region in Canada but it is also the most populated. It follows the St. Lawrence river in Quebec and extends to southern Ontario where I'm from.
This region's climate depends on the season. If it's the winter it's gonna snow. If it's spring it will either rain or snow lightly. Summer it can get very hot and there are thunderstorms, and in the fall it rains some more and gets cold.
The 2013 Ice Storm- This ice storm did not only hit Toronto, it hit the whole GTA (greater Toronto area). This is due to the cold climate this part of Canada gets, it was so cold that when the rain fell and froze over-night basically. Although this region gets cold winters it also gets hot and humid summers. Meaning they can get short heat waves in the summer.
So summer and winter are 2 very different things in this region. Being right next to a great lake also affects weather.
So see what i mean: Winter- Very different than summer!!! (See my font colour is almost like snow! :D) This video is from about December before the Ice storm.Okay now I think i've been yapping on about climate and weather long enough! TIME FOR………………………………………………………..
